Every year for Dr. Seuss’ birthday, schools host “Read Across America” and invite community organizations to read to the elementary students. We were honored to visit Quail Lake, West Park, and Tilley Elementary! Our Humane Education Coordinator, Thalia, read a story titled “Buddy Unchained” about a dog who was treated poorly and lived life on a chain, until he was saved by a shelter and adopted into a new forever family. We loved sharing Buddy’s story and teaching kids about responsible animal care. Thanks for having us!
