Free spaying and neutering are now available for qualifying low-income Fresno County residents.
The Gennuso Spaying and Neutering Trust Fund:
Rose Gennuso was a long-time Fresno resident who felt strongly about animal
abuse and overpopulation; she even rescued several pets herself. Her generous contribution to the CC/SPCA was given in the form of a trust
set aside to help low-income pet owners spay and neuter their animals.
For spay/neuter assistance through the fund, you'll need to apply with
DOCUMENTATION of any of the following programs: SSI (Supplemental Security
Income); SSP (State Supplemental Payments); AFDC (Aid to Families with
Dependent Children Program); the Food Stamp Program; County Relief; General
Relief; General Assistance; Unemployment; Disability. You will need to
provide CURRENT information. You will need to provide your TOTAL HOUSEHOLD
INCOME from anyone living in the home (children, husband, boyfriend,
girlfriend, relative or friends).
You will be called if approved
