CURRICULUM LIBRARY - The public may check out library materials Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The library is filled with a wide array of books, ranging from dog training and animal rights to endangered species and the environment.
PUBLIC RELATIONS - The Education Department is the CCSPCA's liason to the media - TV, radio, print and the internet. Good media relations help get important information into the community on a variety of topics, from pet care to
dog licensing.
SPAY & NEUTER PROGRAM - Assists low-income dog and cat owners to have pets altered to prevent the reproduction of unwanted pets. A female dog left unspayed and all her unspayed offspring can has the potential of producing 4,372 animals in just 7 years! The Spay & Neuter project is funded in part by the annual CCSPCA K-9 Classic and
Ruthelaine's Thrift Shop.
The Education Department organizes and publicizes special competitions for students, including:
- The CCSPCA Essay Contest for teenagers.
- The Bookmark Contest for 4th, 5th & 6th graders.

- Be Kind To Animals Week.
- Adopt-A-Cat Month.
- Fourth of July pet safety.
- New Year's Eve pet safety.
- Prevent-A-Litter Month.
Regular CCSPCA media features include:
- Informative feature articles in over 12 valley newspapers.
- Pet and wildlife information and timely pet care tips on local radio and television stations.
- Adoption features in local newspapers.
- TV features which promote pet adoption.
- The CCSPCA web site includes pictures of
the adoptable pets in the shelter.
