The Fresno Metropolitan Museum in partnership with the Central California Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (CCSPCA) presented a Youth Art Challenge. Kids and teens were given an entry form to draw and color an adoption poster using three themes: Fresno Metropolitan Museum, Dr. Seuss's "Cat in the Hat" character and CCSPCA cat adoptions.  Kids and teens used their creativity to design the poster and come up with their own poetic Seuss-ified sayings to help get homeless cats a new lease on life.

The Age Group Break Down:
K-2
3-5
6-8
9-12

Winners were chosen out of four age groups. The elementary and middle school winners will receive a Jr. Membership to the Museum and the high school winner will receive a Dr. Seuss T-shirt. All winners will receive a Certificate of Creative Achievement.

The Fresno Met will also be working with the CCSPCA to present Cat Adoption Days. Every cat adopter in December, both at the River Park Adoption Center and the CCSPCA Adoption Center on Hughes, will receive two tickets to enjoy The Art of Dr. Seuss: A Retrospective Exhibition as a thank you for opening up their heart and home to a cat in need.
